Core Beliefs

PMC is a member of the Missionary Church denomination, and therefore we subscribe to the Articles of Faith and Practice in the Constitution of the Missionary Church. A summary of the most important core beliefs we hold are as follows:

We believe the Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is the divinely inspired Word of God and is authoritative in all matters of Christian faith and practice.

2 Peter 1:20-21; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 4:1

We believe in one God, who is the Creator and Sustainer of all things, and is eternally existent in three persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Mark 12:2,30; Matthew 28:19, John 1:1-3

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His death on the cross for the forgiveness of sin, His bodily resurrection, and His ascension to the right hand of the Father.

John 1:1-3 & 14; Romans 3:23-25; 1 Corinthians 15:3-6; Ephesians 1:19-21

We believe that Jesus Christ is the only Savior. Individuals are born again through genuine repentance and personal faith in Him.

Acts 4:12; John 14:6; John 1:12

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit to convict, teach, guide, and enable Christians to live a godly life.

We believe that followers of Jesus Christ are the Church. Jesus is the head and the source of the Church’s life. The Church, Christ’s body, exists to bring glory to Jesus Christ and to accomplish His purposes.

We believe in the coming personal return of Jesus Christ.

Acts 1:11; John 14:3; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead. Believers will experience everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord, while the unbeliever will encounter judgment and everlasting separation from God.
